As the demand for online content increases, knowing how to protect your material from copyright and thieves is imperative.
Unfortunately, in this day and age its virtually impossible to completely prevent someone trying to misuse your content. However, here at AdmireMe.VIP we have a dedicated team and features willing to tackle these digital thieves on your behalf.
This is an ongoing issue which is happening on the majority of digital platforms, but there are a couple of ways you can try to prevent this occurring. Watermarking your content is one of them.
What is a Watermark?
Watermarking is a feature used in a wide variety of industries. From professional photography, graphic designers, content creators, it is even present on government documents to discourage counterfeits.
It consists of a stamp, logo or signature superimposed onto an image, with a great deal of transparency.
It does not take the whole focus away from the image, but marks the content to ensure the image cannot be lifted without the permission of the creator.
How can I do this on AdmireMe.VIP?
1. Log into your AdmireMe.VIP account
2. Head to Settings > Update Profile
3. Select Show watermark and Save changes to profile.
Enabling the default watermark will add your AdmireMe.VIP URL across the top of your image. However, you can customise this watermark on each individual image you upload.
You can choose between the size (small, medium, large), colour (light, dark), and position (top right, top left, bottom right, bottom left, top centre, bottom centre).
We would also encourage having a disclaimer within your bio as this can also act as a deterrent to possible thieves.
Adding something as simple as "Anyone found to be saving and/or distributing content will be blocked & further legal action taken."
If you have seen any of your content posted anywhere illegally online and wish for our team to act on your behalf to get this taken down, please contact our dedicated team on [email protected].
These content thieves are waging a war, so let's fight it together!
Thanks,
