What is 2FA?
Two-Factor Authentication (2FA) works by adding an additional layer of security to your AdmireMe.VIP account.
It requires an additional login credential – beyond your email address and password – to gain account access.
You must verify your identity by retrieving a code sent to the email address you used when signing up to your account.
It's different to your password as passwords are based on something you know, while Two-Factor Authentication combines something you know with something you have (smartphone, mailbox).
How do I activate 2FA?
Turn on two-factor authentication by:
1. Log into your account
2. Head to Settings > Account Settings
3. Enable Two-factor authentication
4. Save changes
Why enable 2FA?
With Two-factor authentication you will be required to verify all logins from any new device or browser via email message.
This will reduce the risk of hackers being able to access your account through your email address and password.
You will receive a 6-digit login code to your mailbox which must be inputted before access to your account is granted.
The extra security layer can be turned off the exact same way it was enabled.
